Happy October, Academy Families!

Fall Ball is a couple of weeks away! Our first-ever Fall Ball was such a success that we just had to bring it back! If you missed out last year, now's your chance to join the fun. Expect games, crafts, a food truck, and, of course, live performances by our talented students. Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 20th, 2024, from 12 PM to 4 PM at the Koger Center for the Arts.

We will also having our Battle of the Cans!  While the Fall Ball is a free event, everyone is encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Harvest Hope. Donate on behalf of your Team (Team Strings, Team Piano, Team Drums or Team Voice)

Are you a student interested in performing? Send us an email at info@columbiaartsacademy.com to secure your spot on stage. We can't wait to see you there! Check out some photos from last year's Fall Ball below:

Exciting News! We're thrilled to share that our Director, Marty Fort, and his band, The Capital City Playboys, will be performing as the opening act for The Boxmasters, featuring Billy Bob Thornton! The show will take place on Friday, October 18th, 2024, at 7:30 PM at the Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College.

This is an all-ages show, and tickets are almost sold out, so be sure to grab yours soon! For more information about The Capital City Playboys, visit www.capitalcityplayboys.com. To purchase tickets for this special event, head over to www.harbisontheatre.org/events/boxmasters. We hope to see you there!

Don't forget, recital season is right around the corner! We're excited to announce that sign-ups for our 2025 Winter Recitals have begun. These recitals offer our students a fantastic opportunity to showcase all the progress they've made. This year's recitals will take place at the W.W. Hootie Johnson Performance Hall in the Darla Moore School of Business. Week 1 will run from January 10th to 12th, 2025, and Week 2 from January 17th to 19th, 2025.

To make sign-ups as easy as possible, we've created a dedicated recital page where you can find everything you need—from the sign-up form to parking details and event maps. Visit www.ColumbiaArtsAcademy.com/recitals for all the latest updates. We can't wait to see you at our 2025 Winter Recitals and enjoy some fantastic live music from our students and teachers!

Whether you’re just starting your musical journey or you’ve been with us for years, we’re excited to continue creating, learning, and performing alongside you at Lexington School of Music, Irmo Music Academy, and Columbia Arts Academy. Musical Ladder System® Achievements!

The Columbia Arts Academy, Lexington School of Music & Irmo Music Academy are the only music schools in the Midlands that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests with the Musical Ladder System®. It was actually created by academy Director Marty Fort. It has been awarded multiple patents and is being used by schools nationwide.

Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool "Musical Ladder System®" wristbands that they can show off to their friends.

Welcome New Students!

Please Welcome the our new students who registered in the past month!

Is Your Teacher Sold Out?

Many teachers have sold out. If you need a schedule change or would like to be added to a waiting list for a particular teacher, day or time, please contact any of our office staff team and they can add you to the waiting list.
