Happy January, Academy Families!
Happy New Year! We hope your 2025 is off to an amazing start. As we look ahead to a year filled with music, creativity, and growth, we’re excited to continue supporting our students in reaching their musical goals.
Congratulations and bravo to all our students and teachers on their incredible performances at the January 2025 Winter Recitals! Your hard work and dedication truly shone on stage, and we couldn’t be prouder. We’re already looking forward to seeing you perform again at events throughout this year! Check out some photos from our Winter Recitals:
We have some fun performance opportunities coming up!
March 1st - Join us for the Columbia Mardi Gras parade! We’ll be walking in the parade and singing fun Mardi Gras songs. This event is open to all current students! Please email us to let us know if you’d like to participate.
March 15th - Be part of the Irish Choir at St. Pat’s in Five Points! This opportunity is open to students age 10 and up who love to sing (you do not need to be a voice student). If you’re interested, please email us to sign up.
In case you missed it: Due to severe winter weather and icy conditions, we were closed for lessons on Friday, January 10th, Tuesday, January 21st, and Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025. Lessons originally scheduled on those days will be rescheduled as private makeups during our upcoming Spring Break in April. Thank you for your understanding!
Whether you’re just starting your musical journey or you’ve been with us for years, we’re looking forward to an awesome 2025 with you all at the Columbia Arts Academy, Lexington School of Music, and Irmo Music Academy.
Did you get a new musical instrument for Christmas? Or is it your New Year’s resolution to finally learn how to play? Now’s the perfect time to start your musical journey! Get started by visiting www.LexingtonSchoolOfMusic.com, calling or texting us at 803-996-0623, or stopping by to visit us at 226 Barr Road, Lexington, SC 29072—we’re open seven days a week!
The Columbia Arts Academy, Lexington School of Music & Irmo Music Academy are the only music schools in the Midlands that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests with the Musical Ladder System®. It was actually created by academy Director Marty Fort. It has been awarded multiple patents and is being used by schools nationwide.
Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool "Musical Ladder System®" wristbands that they can show off to their friends.
Please Welcome the our new students who registered in the past month!
Many teachers have sold out. If you need a schedule change or would like to be added to a waiting list for a particular teacher, day or time, please contact any of our office staff team and they can add you to the waiting list. If you are not a student yet there are still limited lessons spots available.
