Happy August, Academy Families!

As we gear up for another fantastic month of making music at our schools, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to the communities of Columbia, Lexington, and Irmo. Thanks to your continued support, we’ve been voted the Free Times Best Place for Music Lessons for ELEVEN YEARS IN A ROW! This incredible achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our amazing students, the unwavering support of their parents, and the hard work and passion of our talented teachers and staff. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you once again—let’s rock even more this year!

We also want to extend a big thank you to everyone who came out to the Irmo Music Academy earlier this month for our Musical Scavenger Hunt & Back to School Bash! It was a blast meeting so many new students, and we hope you had a fantastic time exploring different instruments, making crafts, and learning about our music lessons! Stay tuned for more exciting events at our schools! Take a look at some photos from the Bash:

Our first Fall Ball was such a hit that we’re doing it again! If you missed it last time, there will be games, crafts, a food truck, and, of course, live performances by our talented students! If you are interested in performing, please send us an email at info@columbiaartsacademy.com. Mark your calendars—our 2024 Fall Ball will be held on Sunday, October 20th, 2024, from 12 PM to 4 PM at the Koger Center for the Arts. We hope to see you there! Check out these photos from our last Fall Ball:

Recital sign-ups for our 2025 Winter Recitals will begin on October 1st! These recitals provide a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their hard work and progress. The recitals will take place at the W.W. Hootie Johnson Performance Hall in the Darla Moore School of Business. Week 1 will run from January 10th to 12th, 2025, and Week 2 from January 17th to 19th, 2025.

To make the sign-up process as smooth as possible, we’ve created a dedicated recital page with the sign-up form, dates, and all the information you’ll need, including parking details and maps. We encourage you to visit www.ColumbiaArtsAcademy.com/recitals for the most up-to-date information. Please mark your calendars and join us for some free live music from our amazing students and teachers at our 2025 Winter Recitals! We hope to see you there!

Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been with us for years, here’s to making music with you all at the Columbia Arts Academy, Lexington School of Music, and Irmo Music Academy! You can also call or text us at 803-787-0931, or visit us at 3630 Rosewood Drive, Columbia, SC 29205, seven days a week!

Musical Ladder System® Achievements!

The Columbia Arts Academy, Lexington School of Music & Irmo Music Academy are the only music schools in the Midlands that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests with the Musical Ladder System®. It was actually created by academy Director Marty Fort. It has been awarded multiple patents and is being used by schools nationwide.

Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool "Musical Ladder System®" wristbands that they can show off to their friends.

Welcome New Students!

Please Welcome the our new students who registered in August!

Is Your Teacher Sold Out?

Many teachers have sold out. If you need a schedule change or would like to be added to a waiting list for a particular teacher, day or time, please contact any of our office staff team and they can add you to the waiting list. If you are not a student yet there are still limited lessons spots available.
