Happy August, Academy families!

Thank you, Columbia, Lexington, and Irmo for voting us the Best Place for Music Lessons for TEN YEARS IN A ROW! Also, thank you for your support in the category of Best Small Business Owner and I am grateful to have received an Honorable Mention.

It has been an amazing year for us, from celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Columbia Arts Academy to our students and teachers performing at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall this Summer. It has been our honor and greatest joy to make music with our community all these years. We are truly excited about the future and the incredible musical experiences that lie ahead!

So, thank you again, Columbia, for continuing to make the Columbia Arts Academy South Carolina's #1 choice for music lessons!

In case you missed it, 2023 is an exciting year here at the Academy. It marks the 20th Anniversary for Columbia Arts Academy, the 10th Anniversary for Lexington School of Music, and the 5th Anniversary for Irmo Music Academy! Thank you to everyone who came to help us celebrate at all 3 locations earlier this month during our Open House Parties! We had so much fun meeting all of you, raffling off guitars, exploring the instrument petting zoo, and making music! Stay tuned for more upcoming Anniversary Events!

You're Invited to the 2023 Anniversary Fall Ball on the Koger Lawn! We will be hosting the Fall Ball to celebrate our schools' 20th, 10th, and 5th Anniversaries on Sunday, October 8th, from 2 pm - 5 pm at The Lawn Amphitheater at the Koger Center for the Arts. There will be balloon artists, games, and of course, MUSIC! That's right, we want our students to perform and showcase their skills! If you are interested in performing, please email us at info@columbiaartsacademy.com.

We're excited to announce that our students will be performing at the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway! NASCAR reached out to us and invited our music students to sing "God Bless America" before the National Anthem in front of 60,000 people.

The race is on September 3rd at 6 pm and will be broadcast on NBC, so be sure to tune in and watch! Let's rock this! If you would like to attend the race, NASCAR has sent us a link for discounted tickets just for our students, families, and friends: https://fevo.me/caa23

We have announced the dates and venue for our 2024 Winter Recitals, taking place at the magnificent W. W. Hootie Johnson Performance Hall! This beautiful 500-seat hall, located at 1014 Greene St, Level 1, is situated in the new Darla Moore School of Business building at the University of South Carolina.

The building is across the street from the School of Music and Koger Center buildings, where our 2023 Recitals were held. Visit columbiaartsacademy.com/recitals for the January recital dates and mark your calendars for 10/1/23 when the recital signs ups will start.

Students, families, and teachers - thank you again for an amazing 20, 10, and 5 years of making music, and we are excited for the future!

Musical Ladder System® Achievements!

The Columbia Arts Academy, Lexington School of Music & Irmo Music Academy are the only music schools in the Midlands that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests with the Musical Ladder System®. It was actually created by academy Director Marty Fort. It has been awarded multiple patents and is being used by schools nationwide.

Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool "Musical Ladder System®" wristbands that they can show off to their friends.

Welcome New Students!

Please Welcome the our new students who registered in August!
